Our granite worktops remain as popular as ever in the kitchen. Not only are they extremely resistant to everyday wear and tear, but their individual patterning means the worktop you receive will be unique to your kitchen

The range is available in a variety of thicknesses and a choice of edge profiles tosatisfy individual tastes. Granite is supplied in slab form and as a natural product each slab varies in appearance, shape and thickness. You can be reassured thatyour chosen granite will be manufactured into a perfect worktop in one of theleading factories of its kind in Europe and fitted by one of our well trained installers.

Granite offers both a premium look and durability for years of use. It is easy tolook after and we would recommend the following care and maintenance adviceonce fitted:

Care and Maintenance of your Granite worktop

Stone worksurfaces are pre - treated with a liquid silicone sealer which reducestheir natural porosity and provides a protective coating.The Second Nature Stone Home Care Kit contains Neutral Detergent, StoneSealer and Stone Polishing Cream for ongoing care and maintenance of stoneworksurfaces. Kits can be obtained from your Second Nature specialist.

Clean stone surfaces regularly with water containing soap or a mild detergent orNeutral Detergent and a soft cloth or sponge. Rinse off surfaces with cleanwater. Polish dry with a soft cloth.

Avoid use of abrasive cleaning materials: scouring powders, steel wool, metalbrushes, etc.

Never use bleach and other chlorine based cleaners, acids, photographicdevelopment liquid, alkalis (caustic soda) and concentrated disinfectants onstone surfaces. If any of these come into contact with the stone, clean them offimmediately, otherwise surface damage will occur.

Strongly coloured foodstuffs, such as blackcurrant and beetroot, can stain stonesurfaces. Acidic foodstuffs such as citrus juice, vinegars and cola will etch thestone surface.Always use pan stands and trivets to protect stone surfaces from hot, rough andwet pots, pans and utensils. Direct contact from iron, steel, ceramic and coppervessels can scratch and stain the stone surfaces.

Always use cutting boards to chop and slice food upon. Never cut directly ontothe stone surfaces.Stone is a natural material. The variations in its structure, pattern and colour arecharacteristic and constitute part of its appeal and value.

Over time, with normal kitchen use, stone worktops will acquire a patina thatreflects the use to which they have been put. It is normal for the original highsheen to weather and mellow in this way.
